Liverpool MakeFest was founded back in 2015 and has run each year since, with the exception of 2020/21 due to the COVID-19 lockdown of course, but we had no control over that. We didn’t visit Wuhan, or Barnard Castle either for that matter!
It is one of the largest free and open Maker events in the UK and is proud to have spawned a series of sister MakeFests all over the country. We even published official guidance on how to set up a MakeFest if you’re interested.
The event has always been free for exhibitors and attendees alike. It is strictly non-commercial.
It is held in Liverpool Central Library which provides an amazing open, friendly and accessible space. We love our library home.
