(Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Mathematics)
Over the past several years STEM has been merging into STEAM as a positive move forward in education that meets the needs of a 21st century world. Science, technology, engineering and maths alone miss several key components that many see as just as important for our children to take them forward in to the future.
Art as the added element, brings together the other subjects in a new and innovative means that is crucial in a world that is now extremely visually led. Art also adds a new dimension to working through the creative process, critical thinking and problem-solving. As the landscape of technology keeps changing and evolving at such a fast pace, embracing the collaboration between these 5 subjects is key in engaging students in experiential learning.
At Liverpool MakeFest we will have an abundance of STEAM related makers ready to inspire and educate everyone at all ages.

THE CREATE EDUCATION PROJECT
“The CREATE Education Project brings together game changing technology with inspirational content and creative minds. This collaborative platform is designed to provide FREE resources and support to help educators to introduce and embed 3D Printing technology in the classroom. These include professional development resources, lesson resources, project ideas and inspiration. Contributors and community members are provided with a network of people embracing the same passion for sharing and improving access to education.
In order to ensure everybody has the opportunity to benefit from 3D printing and other exciting tech we reached out and asked educators and industry leaders what the challenges were and how can we make the best of the opportunities. We aligned these with our core values and CREATE Education Project was the result.”
