North Wales Tech is a volunteer driven Technology and Developer Community for North Wales. We’re a bunch of like-minded people with an interest in all things Science, Technology, Engineering and Making. From professional developers and engineers to teachers, lecturers and students to enthusiasts and hobbyists, everyone is welcome. We run free monthly events that range from Tech Talks to Hands on Workshops and have been involved in events in all five counties across North Wales.
On our stand we will have some examples of the kinds things our members have been up to themselves as well as examples of the kinds of activities we’ve had in some of our workshops. We will also have information about our most ambitious project yet the “Year of IoT”, a year long series of workshops looking at how various industries in North Wales might make use of the opportunities presented by the Internet of Things, especially those unique to rural areas.
We specialise in collaborating with other organisations and have been lucky enough to work with organisations like Bangor and Glyndŵr Universities, the Llandrillo Menai group of Colleges, the M-SParc and OpTIC science and technology parks, the North Wales Enterprise Hubs and countless tech sector companies in North Wales including the likes of MoneySuperMarket Group and Microsoft. Come and find out more about what we’ve been up to, we’re especially interested in meeting people that want to collaborate with us over in North Wales.
